Heartland Green is a conservation and sustainable forest management project based in Mungwi District, Northern Province, Zambia.
We believe that forests are vital to the future of our planet. Through our work, we are helping to restore and preserve Zambia’s forests for future generations.
What We Do
Community driven conservation
We partner with local communities to develop alternative income-generating activities that protect forests while improving quality of life.
Creating sustainable livelihoods
We create employment opportunities for local residents, particularly in sustainable forest management.
Promoting sustainable land use
We engage with and educate communities to encourage sustainable agriculture land-use practices that reduce reliance on methods harmful to local forests.

We believe that protecting our forests today is essential for combating deforestation and ensuring a greener tomorrow. Our goal is to inspire and influence change at the family and community levels by promoting practices that help reduce deforestation. Our project is a vital step in preserving Zambia’s natural forests and fostering sustainable land-use practices.
